Long Beach Police Department, Long Beach City College

Lieutenant Martinez is a twenty-five-year veteran with the Long Beach Police Department. He is currently assigned to the Police Department’s Long Beach City College Police Section. The LB Community College District is comprised of two campuses. His duties and responsibilities include providing for the safety and security of 26,000 students, 1600 faculty, staff, and visitors. Lt Martinez has also worked as a Patrol Watch Commander, Detective, and as an Advanced Training and Basic Academy instructor. He currently instructs several learning domains in the police academy.

Lt Martinez holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Master of Arts Degree in Negotiation and Conflict Management.
